Comments: Jake is sweet, friendly, and loves everyone. He's good with cats and other dogs and even lived with an Italian Greyhound and a cat. Jake apparently does well with young children that have visited him, but he has never lived with young children. He does tend to like a calm household, so he would be a good choice for a retired couple. He loves car rides and short walks. He apparently doesn't particularly like long walks. He has lived in a home with a yard. Jake will most probably need a home with another dog, preferably a greyhound, as he has some separation anxiety. Foster Home Update: Jake is back at the kennel now due to emergency circumstances with his foster family. This is what they had to say about him. Jake is truly a sweet boy who is so wonderful with all of the people, dogs and cats that he meets. He is a love and a leaner. He is great with the greyhound and two cats in his foster home. He really enjoys going on long walks with his human and greyhound friends. He also loves walking around the block with one of the cats in his foster home, as well as the neighbor's cat! He is so incredibly well mannered on a leash. Such a joy to walk as if you are not walking him at all as he never pulls. He loves to run and play and can be quite entertaining at times throwing his toys up in the air. He adores his bed where he feels safe and secure and likes to cockroach. He loves food, especially vegetables as treats. He loves the car and is such a great passenger and sleeps most of the time. He really likes having a yard so he can show off how really good a racer he was. And he loves to play chase with his greyhound pal. He wants to please and has even learned to sit. This boy came to his foster home with anxieties, especially over food, though he has no food aggression at all, and with a lot of time and patience he is slowly learning. He would like a quiet home with patient, confident and very calm and gentle leaders with a strong routine and time to be with him as he adores his human friends the most.
