| Snoopy, or Snoop Dog as we
call him, is delightful. He absolutely loves to be with people and can usually be found
hanging out near his foster mom. But, he doesn't have to be right on top of his foster
mom, just nearby. He
loves to check new things out and is inquisitive about anything new. Snoop Dog is
wonderful in the house. He hasn't been destructive at all and is very calm around the
house.
He is very affectionate and
loves neck rubs. He is a good car rider and loves to go places with his foster mom.
Snoopy is great on a leash in
most situations and loves walks. He loves to run in the yard and play with toys. He loves
to dig through the toy box and pull out the toys and have his foster mom throw them for
him. He is a younger boy, so has a higher energy level. He also loves to chase a ball,
which is a great way to tire him out.
Snoop Dog has one of the
biggest overbites we've seen in a long time. But it just adds to his loving, enduring
nature. He also has one of the shortest tails around because we had to remove most of his
tail because of its over-exuberance. When this boy gets excited, his tail almost hums -
just too funny!
He needs a home without kitties
or young children. We don't know about small dogs, but he doesn't seem too bothered by
them at booths. He has done fine with the other dogs in his foster home - greyhound and
non-greyhound (with the smallest being about 45 to 50 pounds). Snoopy would most probably
do best in a home with a yard. He knows how to use the dog door and uses it with ease. In
fact, it took him about 2 seconds to learn how to use the dog door.
Snoopy is very quick to learn.
His foster mom usually only has to tell him something once or twice and he's got it. He
knows several commands and is eager to learn more. So far he knows 'Wait', 'Go Lie Down',
'Leave it', 'Down', and we're working on 'Off', 'Shake a Paw' and 'Sit'.
This boy is definitely in love
with life!!! He will make you smile!!! |
