| Comments: The vacation
destination Dog of the Month for June 2006 is Suzzy! Suzzy is a beautiful red brindle girl. She is timid at
first, but with a little patience she warms up fairly quickly. Once she warms up to you
she is delightful and playful. She is very good around the house and loves to hang out
with you or is content to be somewhere nearby. She loves her daily walks and enjoys car
rides. Suzzy would do best in a home without cats or small dogs. A calmer household would
be her preference without small children.
From Suzzy's foster mom: "I just have to
tell you about our foster girl, Suzzy (or Suzzy Q, or Suzzer, as we call her). She is
absolutely delightful. She cracked me up the other day. A number of our dogs, including
Suzzy, were in our living room. I was walking around, chatting on the phone. We have a big
leather chair in our living room. Suzzy walked over to the chair, leaned into the chair
and just hung out, standing on all four legs, but leaning against the chair and watching
me. She kinda looked like the leaning tower of Pisa leaning against the chair. I was
hysterical watching her - she was just too funny. She stood like that for quite some time.
Then when I was done on the phone she stood upright and headed with me and the other dogs
into the kitchen.
Suzzy loves playing with our other dogs. She
loves to tease the boys when they are outside in the yard. She really gets them going -
playbows at them, and then runs away from them as if to say "chase me",
"chase me". And they do chase her! She is quite the flirt. She particularly
likes one of our boys, Hoss. She is just in love with him!" |
