No description is provided for greyhounds who have just recently arrived at our kennel. In all other cases, where a description is given regarding behavior, and the results of cat, small dog and kid testing, the information provided is merely for guidance. Each dog may adapt differently in a different home environment, with other animals or children whose behavior is different. Please work closely with our adoption representative to help you pick the right dog for your home.

Cat Friendly Dogs - There are many people with cats looking to adopt greyhounds. If you do not have cats, we ask that you only consider adopting a dog that is not cat friendly. These dogs need homes just as much as the cat friendly dogs and we ask your help in reserving the cat friendly dogs for those homes that truly need them.

We do not recommend picking a dog from its cute picture or color. Please choose dogs within your locality or within your driving distance. Being a volunteer based group, it is difficult for the organization to organize special transport of a dog from one end of our service area to another end. We make an exception for our Special Hounds.

Bill is handsome with a solid build. He is a good boy, happy and friendly. He is apprehensive with young boys, but fine with girls. He loves to nap in a wire crate. He seems fine with all other dogs. He loves car rides. His favorites are walks and he stays right beside you. Bill also loves to play with toys and to play and chase a ball. This good boy also loves being brushed and is good when having his nails done and his teeth brushed. He tested trainable with a cat, but has never lived with a cat.
	*Billy* Tag No: 5127 Registered Name: Vans Katmandu Age: 3 Color: Black Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, unknown with others Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Billy is on the smaller side for a male. We have been told that the kennel owner’s 13 year old son used to take Billy to meet and greets before he came to us. Billy definitely loves people! Billy is a happy, friendly guy and he smiles!!! He’s on the more energetic side (at least in the kennel). Billy would prefer a home without kitties.

He’s smart, independent and just a love. Dave loves stuffies and to have his butt rubbed. He knows a few commands. Dave and Pita were in a home together for over 7 years and are a wonderful pair – we’d love to place them in a home together. Won’t you just give these two darling boys a place on your couch? 	Decker Tag No: 5145 Registered Name: Bluflame Decker Age: 2 Color: Brindle Cat Friendly: Yes Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, unknown with others Kid Friendly: Older only Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Decker is a handsome, sweet boy. He’s still young and a bit unsure of himself. He is also very well behaved for one so young. Once he learns the ways of the world and gains some confidence this will be one terrific boy. Once Decker knows you and is comfortable with you, he is very affectionate. Decker does not like busy environments, so would do best in a quieter home. Because Decker still needs to gain some confidence, we would not recommend him with young children.
	Demon Tag No: 5150 Registered Name: Drop N Demons Age: 4 Color: Black Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, unknown with others Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Demon is a happy, friendly boy. Demon just arrived, so we are still learning about him. Demon would prefer a home without kitties.
	Domino Tag No: 4566 Registered Name: Ale Troy Boy Age: 7 Color: White and Brindle Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, unknown with others Kid Friendly: Ok with older, unknown with younger Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Domino, Rascal and Treacle were in a home together and returned through no fault of their own. Domino and Treacle are very bonded and we’d love to place them together in a home if at all possible. Domino is on the smaller side and is just a handsome boy. Very sweet, friendly and all around nice boy. He could use some work on his leash manners, but otherwise seems very well behaved. He does have some corns on a couple of his pads that we are treating, but they don’t slow him down. Domino and Treacle would prefer a home without kitties.
	Gil Tag No: 4648 Registered Name: Gilly Gun Age: 7.5 Color: Black Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with larger dogs Kid Friendly: Yes Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Gil was returned through no fault of his own. Gil is a smaller boy and just a love. He is on the timid side, but loves people. He has been an only dog, so if you are looking for a dog that has already been in a home and ok as an only dog, this is your boy. He walks well on a leash and is good in the car. Likes the stuffed toys and knows several commands. Gil is used to being spoiled and would most probably be best in a home as an only dog or with perhaps one other dog.
	Halfback Tag No: 5124 Registered Name: Half Back Age: 2.5 Color: Black Cat Friendly: Very Trainable Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, unknown with others Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Halfback is a character! He is a nice boy and happy about life. He has calmed down since his surgery and is really a very nice boy. He’s done well with the other dogs at turnout. Halfback fared well with cat testing though he has never lived with a cat.
	Jack Tag No: 5130 Registered Name: Lumberjack Drive Age: 4 Color: Brindle Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, fine with small dogs Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Seattle, WA (Foster) Comments: Jack has been getting along well with all of the dog companions that he has had encounters with, including his Jack Russell friend. He is a big tall drink of excitement when you come home, including "clacking" his teeth, licking and spinning circles - he just loves to have a human companion around. Jack adapts well to almost any setting, and is a professional car rider. On leash, Jack is easy going and walks with a slack leash 97% of the time. Morning walks when he's excited to be out, he'll pull for the first minute or two while he's hitting your stride, but what boy wouldn't be excited for his walk?! He does great with strangers, and was a huge hit at the Bellevue Arts and Crafts Fair, patiently getting scratches and rubs from just about everyone who passed. He is a very fast learner, and is more than willing to take on whatever you want to teach him. There is no question that Jack is a star greyhound and he is willing to show just about anyone who will take the time to let him prove it.
	Jim Bob Tag No: 5152 Registered Name: Clever Jimbob Age: 3 Color: Red Fawn Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, unknown with others Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Jim Bob is a friendly, playful boy. He can be a bit noisy when he first moves into a new situation, but he soon settles once he gets used to the routine. Jim Bob is a sweet, low-key gentleman at turnout. He is always polite and ready for loving from whoever is nearest. Jim Bob would prefer a home without kitties.
	Knight Tag No: 5133 Registered Name: Starz Knight Age: 3 Color: Black Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds & other large breeds. Unknown with small dogs Kid Friendly: Older only Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Knight is a big boy. He’s a gentle soul and very friendly. He knows how to use the dog door and gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home (greyhound and non-greyhound). He hasn’t spent much time around small dogs, so we’re not sure if he would be ok with them or not. Knight would prefer a home without kitties. Knight can be a little food protective so we do not recommend him with young children. Knight loves his walks and walks well on leash. He loves car rides and usually just lies down for the ride.
	Linkz Tag No: 5077 Registered Name: Quik Linkz Age: 4 Color: Black Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, not so with small dogs Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Linkz is an absolute character. He has the cutest tail that goes in all directions – can’t seem to make up its mind whether it wants to go round and round or up and down. Linkz will need an active home and he would not make a good apartment dog. He loves to check out new things and has the funniest bouncy, happy run. This boy loves life and will make you smile as well. Linkz needs a home without kitties. He does well with the other dogs at turnout, but he does still have some of that puppy exuberance to share. He is quite the lover and leaner at turnout. He is still very active and you would never know that this boy is 9. He is a great car rider and very good on leash. Monty gets along well with the greyhounds and a King Charles Spaniel in his foster home. Won’t you give this wonderful boy a place in your home?
	Murph Tag No: 5124 Registered Name: Whytell Murphy Age: 4 Color: White & Black Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok w/greyhounds, fine with other large breeds Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Murph is a big boy, but he’s a gentle giant. He is very friendly and just a happy soul. He gets along well with all the other dogs in his foster home (greyhound and non-greyhound). Murph hasn’t been around small dogs as yet, so we don’t know how he would do with them. He walks well on leash and loves his walks. He learned how to use the dog-door very quickly and he has yet to make a mess in his foster home. He sleeps well through the night. Murph learns quickly and easily. Murph loves to go for car rides and jumps right in. He will stand a little bit in the car, but is learning to lie down. Murph is just a wonderful boy and very easy. We’re working on teaching him the Wait command. Murph would prefer a home without kitties.

Nash is a big, friendly boy, but can be a little on the reserved side initially. He loves attention and warms up quickly. Nash did well in cat testing, but has never lived with a cat. Nash just arrived and we are still learning about him.

He is an older guy but just say the word “Snack” and he is up so fast and quite the talker to let you know he is ready for one. He loves his toys and blankets to snuggle up with. He would be greyt for any type of family and has a lot of love to give. Pete also has a few tickly spots he loves for you to get.

Snoop Dog loves to be with people. He loves to follow his person around the house and check out what they are doing. And he just loves his neck rubs. He loves the toys and absolutely loves to play with a ball. Snoop Dog has one of the biggest overbites we've seen in a long time. It just adds to his loving, enduring nature. He also has one of the shortest tails around because we had to remove most of his tail because of it's over-exuberance. That stub just goes and goes. This boy is definitely in love with life! He loves running in the yard. He would not be a good choice for a condo/apartment or a home with small children as he is still learning to share and can be a little protective of his things. Snoop would also prefer a home without kitties or small dogs. Snoopy would do best in a calmer environment. Snoopy loves his walks and exploring new things. This boy will make you smile as well. When you give him a chew, he will pray while eating it. Time is OK with most small dogs. Time doesn't like really brisk walks, but prefers to just amble along. He is not destructive, likes his "squeakys", and doesn't seem to have any separation anxiety, but then he hasn't been left alone yet without another dog. Time is a very sweet, affectionate little guy who is quiet in his ways. He would prefer a home without kitties.

The person/family that adopts this wonderful boy will be rewarded with much love. But living with a seizure dog takes a special person/family and some specific handling.
