As a non-profit organization, we rely on the selfless help of volunteers and donated funds or items. To enable Greyhound Pets, Inc. to achieve its goals for finding good homes for retired racing greyhounds, and to look out for their welfare, the organization requires volunteers to participate in any of the following adoption activities:

• Booth Activities: Requires spending 3-4 hours on Saturday or Sunday at a booth in a pet store near you to promote the greyhounds, hand out literature and provide information about the adoption program. Check out the latest schedule for our booth activities.
  
  
• Fostering Greyhounds: Since there is limited space in our kennel, we are always looking for families who can foster one of the new arrivals in their homes. We prefer foster participation from greyhound owners to help with the transition of these dogs to home life.
  
  
• Transporting Dogs: Local help in transporting dogs from their foster homes to booths or from the kennel to booths or to the vet for their spay or neuter surgery is greatly welcomed too.
  
  
• Kennel Assistance: This process involves letting the dogs in the kennel out at turn out time, keeping the runs clean  and ensure that the dogs have comfortable padding. The work doesn't take more than an hour although some of our volunteers spend some extra time to get to know the dogs and play with them.
  
  
• Dog Food Donation: As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on donated dog food to feed the dogs in the kennel and in foster homes. If you know of a source where dog food is donated to rescue organizations, we would appreciate the information or your assistance in transporting the dog food to our kennels.  Contact: Moira Corrigan - 425-333-0515
