Yesterday, a family came down from Vancouver to look at dogs. Since this was not their first greyhound, they were very familiar with the breed and they knew what they were looking for. We showed them three or four dogs, but the truth is that we really didn’t need to show them more than one. That one dog did everything she was supposed to do and she convinced the family that she was absolutely the dog for them. Angie, who is now known as Annie, is a well traveled dog … she came from the Ohio Lurcher Program and after traveling across the country has now made her way to her new home in Canada!!

The family that came today had previously owned Whippets and it has been a couple of years since they had that wonderful canine energy in their home. They were looking for an energetic dog and we just happen to have quite a few at the kennel that we couldn’t wait to show them. Those dogs did not hold back so the family got to see their true colors and, just as they said, they were obviously up for the challenge. In fact, the dog that they picked was actually the oldest dog we showed them and also the most energetic … Draft!!
