YMCA Healthy Kids Day and Vendor Fair 2019 @ YMCA OF SNOHOMISH COUNTY Mill Creek Family Branch
Apr 27 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Healthy Kids Day® is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. The Y is so much more than sports, swimming and gymnastics, and a place for kids to hang out. The Y supports families in their efforts to teach healthy habits and keep kids active and learning, preparing them for a brighter future. It’s part of the Y’s promise to strengthen communities. The Mill Creek YMCA celebrates kids’ health and continues to teach healthy habits for kids and families, encourage active play, and inspire a lifetime love of physical activity.

To continue our commitment to encourage healthy habits for kids and families, encourage physical and mental play, and inspire a lifetime love of physical exercise and activities, the Mill Creek Family YMCA is hosting Healthy Kids Day® and Vendor fair on April 27, 2019 from 10:00-1:00pm. Healthy Kids Day is a free community event that helps parents to begin thinking early about ways to keep their kids both physically and intellectually active this summer. This is the largest event of its kind in the nation, taking place at over 1,900 Ys who are committing to taking on summer in order to address critical gaps in health and education.

Northend Greyhound Walk @ Boxcar Park Everett
Apr 28 @ 9:30 am – 10:30 am

Boxcar park at the marina in Everett would be a good place to meet – for anyone who has gone to the Everett Farmer’s Market, after it moved, this is the area. Take 13th street off of Marine View, go straight thru the roundabout (2nd exit), and come to a stop sign with Scuttlebutt on the right. Take the gravel road toward the water, and eventually you’ll see restroom trailers on the right, the Yacht club on the left, and plenty of parking on the gravel lot.

Spa Day!! @ Hern Greyt Works
Apr 28 @ 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Here’s the signup sheet for our bonus Spa Day on April 28th:
Spa Day – April 28, 2019

We could still use a few more volunteers to help with bathing – please
reply to me directly if you’re interested. No experience required!

We’re doing bath signups through the GPI Store website this time. You now
have the option to prepay, which will help us get people checked in more
quickly on Sunday. You can also still pay in person on the 28th via cash,
check, or credit/debit – just make sure to select that option at checkout.
As always, 100% of the proceeds go towards supporting the hounds in our
kennels. If you have any questions or run into problems with the new
signup process, please let me know.

Walk-ins are always welcome for nail trims, but baths require a
reservation. Please reserve one slot for each hound you’re bringing in for
a bath or the bath & nails package, and plan to arrive during your reserved
time slot. We can’t guarantee that we’ll get to you right when you arrive,
but spreading things out across the afternoon helps us keep things moving.

$25 – Bath & Pawdicure Package (best deal!)
$15 – Bath Only
$12 – Nails Only

The ROOtique will be open so come in and pick up some spring attire for
your hound! Mary Greenleaf will be there with her beds too.

NOTE: Greyhounds & mixes only please! Muzzles are required at Spa Day.
Please bring yours, but if you forget we will have a few loaners on-hand at
the door.

Again it’s Sunday 4/28 from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at the Hern Greyt Works kennel
in Woodinville . Please let me know if
you have any questions.

IMPORTANT: You must register to test your dog. Payment date to be announced.

Our dogs have often lived in more than one geographical area in the US but may also have come from other foreign countries. We have developed specific guidelines for the different groups of dogs based on where they came from. The recommendations are based on data from nationally recognized tick-borne disease authority Dr Cynthia Holland of Protatek Reference Laboratory.
