 We said our final goodbyes to Abbey on April 28, 3 days before her 8th birthday, after a very short battle with Lymphoma. Originally named JA Miss Keefee (sired by Flying Train), Abbey came to us at the age of 4 1/2. She had been homed for 8 months with another family. We got her sight unseen and were immediately smitten by her classy style – tail up, ears alert and eager to approach anything or anyone new. At the park, she mostly loved to go up to all the other dog owners and get fussed over. Abbey was a delight in our home. Full of quiet dignity, she loved people and would happily lie in the living room amid all the company. She particularly loved children. At a recent family reunion there were kids climbing all over her and she loved it. Abbey leaves a very empty but grateful place in our hearts.
