Dearly missed by Debbie Benedetto

Busy Bee was adopted in September, 2003. There was no better companion especially after John passed in 2005; just Deb and Bee! I sadly put her down yesterday, May 6, 2013 at 6:30 pm, at age 14 years, 3 months, (01-28-99) parents Avery and Glenda, and one of many siblings.
Bless her heart, I didn’t want her to suffer. She loved our walks, greeted all we meet, tail wagging, never turned down a treat, and loved to be petted. When she really needed more petting, she would shove your arm with her nose; she knew how to get your attention!

She loved our visits to the Kennel, she could hardly wait to be with her kind. She had run 64 races in the Arizona area, and had placed in most, “She was born to run”! She loved to play, throw the toys up in the air, chase, catch, jump and race around in the yard and even in the house, her favorite toys being fuzzy man (it was one of her first toys) and blue sheepy.

That sweet face; she would tilt her head and just talk with her eyes. She knew me better than I knew myself. Please say a prayer for Busy Bee and give your pets a special hug, pet or treat in Bee’s honor. Forever Greyt, run with the wind BEE, at the Rainbow bridge with your many brothers and sisters!

Here is a story I received from a friend and would like to share.  We sat together for a while after Belker’s death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, “I know why.” Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I never had heard a more comforting explanation. He said, “People are born so that they learn how to live a good life – like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?”  The four year old continued, “Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.”  No truer a statement. We know dogs go to heaven, I have no doubt John was the first one to greet her! Until then my dear Bee I will miss you and love you every day, your Mom.

Comments: BusyBee is an active, fun loving girl! She is very good around the house and knows how to use the dog door. BusyBee is delightful, beautiful and fun to be around. She loves to play with the toys, go for walks and rides in the car. She also loves the swimming pool. She gets along very well with all the dogs in her foster home and loves to greet people when she’s out and about. Her tail never stops wagging 🙂
John chose Busy Bee because he told Debbie, Bee’s description was like hers! How true a statement.
