You’re in the arms of the angels, may you find some comfort there

In My Life

There are places I remember all my life,
Though some have changed,
Some forever, not for better,
Some have gone and some remain.

All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall.
Some are dead and some are living.
In my life I’ve loved them all.

But of all these friends and lovers,
There is no one compares with you,
And these mem’ries lost their meaning
When I think of love as something new.

Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before,
I know I’ll often stop and think about them,
In my life I’ll love you more.
In my life I’ll love you more.

CHARLIE was Harold Lind’s companion for 8 long and happy years.  When Harold passed away suddenly in April, 2001, Charlie came to live with our family as a foster.  We grew to love him very much.  Unfortunately, Charlie developed lymphoma in July and was treated for the next eight months by Dr. Judith Price.  Harold’s call to Charlie from the Rainbow Bridge was too strong to ignore.  Charlie joined him in May of 2002.  He was one month shy of his 11th birthday.

Charlie was Harold’s first greyhound which was the starting point of Harold’s long involvement with Greyhound Pets.  Harold used to joke on his website that he wished Charlie had bit him so he wouldn’t have gotten so involved with greyhounds.  Any length of time around Charlie and you would quickly understand why Harold loved him so.

Thanks, Charlie for getting Harold so involved and thanks for touching our hearts.   Our time with you was way too short.
